Armen’s holds annual Coffee Fundraising Day for local health care

Yesterday, September 25th, was FUNdraising day at Armen’s Cafe in Southampton.

Each year, Armen’s hosts an annual ‘Hospital Auxiliary Day’ in support of the local hospital volunteers when all proceeds from coffee sales from the day go to the Auxiliary.

The government does not provide any funding to hospitals for equipment and, therefore, the Hospital Auxiliary have fundraised for many years to help with Saugeen Memorial Hospital equipment purchases.  One of their major commitments was to the Hospital Foundation of $50,000 toward the new MRI machine.

The Auxiliary also operates the Hospital Gift Shop throughout the year with proceeds from sales going to hospital needs.

This year, Armen’s 2021 Coffee Day raised approximately $500. “We are very pleased with the result given that it was a very rainy day,” said Mae Hall, Auxiliary Volunteer.
