Town approves building permit for CCV south phase

The Town has provided the Cedar Crescent Village project with a building permit for the project’s South phase.

The Town had already issued a permit for the north phase in March of this year.  The permits finalize the structure’s design and drawings after meeting all appropriate building code regulations.

The Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority has reviewed and approved the project. As well, the province’s Ministry of Environment Conservation and Parks had issued a Permit to Take Water in November 2022.

The Cedar Crescent Village is a public-private partnership that will be a key part of the Town’s Waterfront in Port Elgin.  It will allow the Town to make improvements to the Main Beach to make it more accessible, as well as provide more services at the waterfront. Supporting the CCV project is one of Development Services’ Major Initiatives as outlined in the 2023 Business Plan
