Two Chesley intimate partner investigations result in charges in each case

On June 30, 2024, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an address in Chesley in the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie and initiated an intimate partner investigation.

As a result of the investigation, a 23-year-old resident of Chesley has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Assault
  • Assault Cause Bodily Harm
  • Uttering Threats

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton at a later date.

The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victims.

  • Breach of Firearms regulations
  • Unauthorized possession of firearms

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton at a later date.
