No Victoria Day long weekend is complete without garage and yard sales and, this year, proved no exception as they were everywhere throughout Saugeen Shores.
From charitable organizations to churches and on every street and in every laneway, treasures were waiting for buyers.
The Chantry Island Cham-bettes had their annual garage sale at the Boathouse in Southampton and it was packed with people beginning when the doors opened in the early morning.

In Port Elgin, the Port Elgin United Church held a mammoth yard sale … if you couldn’t find what you were looking for, you probably didn’t need it. They also had a bake sale and BBQ to tempt taste-buds.
Back in Southampton, there was the yard sale for the Angel Fund. The fund established by the Southampton Pet Hospital goes toward helping animals before finding them a good home. It also helps those pet owners who cannot afford medical help for their companions.
