“No single Museum gets by without volunteers who are central to providing programming,” said Saugeen Shores Mayor Luke Charbonneau. “Without all the things that volunteers have done and programs you have delivered, the place would only be a shadow of what it is without the volunteers. You are the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre.”
Charbonneau was speaking at the annual Volunteer Appreciation held on Sunday, April 14th (2019) at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre (BCM&CC). “We recognize the service that you give to the Museum and I want to express my personal deepest gratitude for what you do and look forward to the years to come.”
At the event, many volunteers were recognized for their various lengths of service receiving certificates and pins of recognition before a fun afternoon of ‘Museum trivia/bingo’ began. Participants also had the opportunity to express their artistic side by contributing to a painting overseen by artist Susan Seitz.
