Mother Nature cooperated for the third annual War on the Shore in Southampton on Lake Huron.
Held as part of the annual Marine Heritage Festival, the streets of Southampton came alive with cyclists as War on the Shore continues to attract bikers from across Ontario and Quebec.
With categories that include families, tandems, tots, teens and professionals, War on the Shore has cycling for every skill level of riding.
The exciting races however were by the professionals whose speed was often breathtaking on the very right turns with some cyclists taking tumbles that ruined their chances of competing.

The 50/50 draw by the KinClub was held throughout the weekend until the draw on Sunday, June 29th. The winning ticket drawn by the Women’s winner, Victoria Slater, was none other than Captain Wayne Sparrow, who handed out medals at the children’s races and then took home $501.
