As part of the ongoing public consultation regarding the Waterfront Revitalization Project the Town of Saugeen Shores will be hosting a public meeting on Tuesday September 3rd beginning at 6:30pm.  The meeting will be held in the Rotary Hall at The Plex located at 600 Tomlinson Drive, Port Elgin.

“Public interest continues to be very high on this initiative. Council is looking forward to hearing further details from Mr. Donnini and comments from citizens” said Mayor Luke Charbonneau.

Members of the public are invited to hear an update on the waterfront project from Town staff and Mr. Donnini, as well as share their comments. Due to the volume of people anticipated, speakers will be limited to three minutes.

No formal presentation will be made at the August 26th Council meeting and no decisions will be made at September 3rd meeting. The public meeting on September 3rd is an opportunity to hear from stakeholders, including residents of the Town of Saugeen Shores.

The Waterfront Project meeting follows a public survey regarding waterfront revitalization. Over 1500 responses were received from the community, and compiled results will be presented as part of the public meeting on September 3rd.
“The Town of Saugeen Shores is committed to hearing from the public regarding the waterfront. We appreciate the feedback received to date and invite the public to attend our September 3rd public meeting” added Mayor Charbonneau.
