Weather update: All Bruce-Grey roads are now to be treated as Closed as ploughs are removed

In an update at 3:33p.m., Bruce County announced the ploughs were pulled off roads at 2:30 p.m. today (Feb. 17/25).
Therefore there will be no snow removal on any roads in South Bruce Peninsula or Northern Bruce Peninsula.
The Miller Group is pulling their ploughs off the road and, therefore, there will be no snow removal on Highways, 6, 10, 21 or 26.
The following roads are now closed:
  • Grey Road 18 in Georgian Bluffs between Highway 21 and Concession 5 (Mennonite Corners)
  • Highway 10 between Chatsworth and Flesherton
  • Highway 6 between Hepworth and Tobermory
  • Grey Bruce Line is closed between Highway 21 and Grey Road 25.
The #GreyBruceOPP is urging drivers to minimize travel today due to blowing snow and strong winds.
The OPP wants all drivers to consider all roads in the county closed due to reduced visibility, and whiteout conditions. Officers have reported that sunny conditions can quickly shift to whiteouts. Officers are responding to many reports of collisions due to zero visibility.
