Rotary Huron Shore Run 2025 disburses funds to several organizations

The 37th annual Huron Shore Run 2025 was a resounding success when it came to numbers … numbers of particpants, numbers of volunteers and number of dollars raised … a win, win, win event.

Approximately 1,000 runners and walkers and 200 volunteers came together to make the event a FUNdraising success.

While for most, it is a fun event, with a half-marathon qualifier and as an Athletics Ontario registered event, the Huron Shore Run not only draws local residents but also attracts competitive racers from all corners of Ontario and beyond.

The funds raised have now been dispersed and will give organizations, such as the Saugeen Track and Field Club (STFC), the Saugeen Shores Lifesaving Club (SSLC), the Breakers Swim Team and the local Rotary groups in Saugeen Shores, a financial uplifting boost.

The largest recipient was the local hospital with a major donation of $60,000 to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation for much-needed equipment to provide quality care close to home for both year-round residents and visitors.
