This season, I am reminded that great change begins with just one. One act of kindness. One moment of compassion. One person who chooses to care.
To our donors, volunteers, Board of Directors, and community partners — thank you. Each of you is that one. Your generosity and commitment ripple outward, touching countless lives in ways that words can hardly express. Because of you, people at the end of life find comfort, dignity, and peace — and families find hope in the hardest moments.
This year, your support helped us achieve extraordinary milestones. Together, we completed our Strategic Plan, guided by four strong pillars: Investing in People, Centre of Excellence, Governance Best Practices, and Financial Sustainability. Each pillar represents a promise — that we will continue to serve with compassion and excellence.
Through support from our provincial government, we gained additional funding to operate our hospice beds and received approval to move ahead with a third suite. Each new bed represents another life cared for, another family supported, another ripple of kindness spreading through our community.
Beyond our residence, your gifts sustain free community programs that reach far beyond our walls — expanding grief and bereavement support, offering end-of-life planning workshops, and providing End-of-Life Doula Services to guide and comfort those living with a life-limiting illness.
