The family of Joe Keely wish to offer a huge thank you to all who supported us both during and following his death R.I.P.
*The Palliative care team led by Jessica Boyle , Dr Chapman,,and the nursing staff on the day and night shifts.
*To Paramed staff of HSW and PSW ‘s who came weekly into our home and provided emotional and tender care to Joe.
*To all who sent sympathy cards, mass cards, flowers, food, to those who visited and all who offered prayers and hugs we say thank you.
*We thank Fr Anton, Anne Marie and St. Joseph Choir, Ruth Voisin and her team for the delicious lunch served following the Funeral Mass.
*To Taylor Brown and his staff who supported and guided our family at this very emotional time in our lives.
Joseph Patrick Keely passed away peacefully at home, with family by his side on Saturday, April 18, 2026 in his 85th year. Joe, beloved husband of Mairead (nee O’Reilly). Loving dad of Brian, and Eimear and her husband Andrew Keely-Dyck. Proud Grandad of Caellum, and Kathleen. Dear brother-in-law of Philip O’Reilly and his wife Brid and family. Joe will be fondly remembered by many family members in Ireland and England.
A Mass will be held at 11am on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at St. Joseph Parish, 920 Wellington Street, Port Elgin. The mass will be live streamed and available on both the funeral home’s website and Facebook page @BrownFamilyFH.
Memorial donations to the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul or Chalice (Canada) would be appreciated by the family.
