An Alley filled with art continues to beautify downtown Port Elgin

Art Alley presented by Port Elgin BIA continues to beautify Port Elgin’s downtown and provides local artists with the opportunity to display their works.

On Friday, June 26th, Mayor Luke Charbonneau opened the most recent vibrant art creation by artist Rowan Stephenson on the exterior wall of Rosina’s Restaurant.  “The vibrancy of Rowan’s work is a wonderful addition to our downtown,” said Mayor Charbonneau.

Two nature murals on the add life and character to the alley, that has become known as Port Elgin’s Art Alley, leading visitors to Rosina’s patio for ‘al fresco’ dining.

“Art is so important to the community and to our culture,” added Mayor Luke Charbonneau, “and we have to thank Steve, owner of Rosina’s, for providing the space for artists to display their works. Art makes the community and the downtown a better place. We also have to thank the BIA for continuing to improve our downtown with art and the many activities that it promotes.”

Also, opening on to Art Alley is the new Sundown studio owned by artists Jess Rosner and Margaux Bucher.
