Yellow/orange air quality warnings issued

Environment Canada and the province of Ontario have issued widespread air quality yellow/orange  warnings due to thick smoke from northwestern Ontario wildfires.

The smoke has caused extremely poor air quality across most regions of southern and easter Ontario that is expected to persist until Friday.  On a scale of 1 – 10, many areas are at high risk 10 or higher.

Bruce County is under smoke-filled skies and and has been issued an orange warning. Those over 65, those with immune issues and small children/infants are advised to remain indoors. Where possible, windows should be closed.
