
As part of the Junior Firefighter program initiated by Saugeen Shores Fire Service, another program has begun directed toward pre-teen youth in the community.

The ‘Lights and Sirens Camp’ is a new youth program designed for children ages 12 to 13.
Throughout the three-day camp from August 12th – 14th, held at Southampton’s Fire hall, participants had the opportunity to develop leadership skills, learn about fire safety and responsibility, physical and mental wellness, interact with community safety partners, gain first aid awareness, emergency preparedness while taking part in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities.
