Cathe McIntosh moved to Southampton a number of years ago, purchasing her home unseen. “I walked down High Street and I fell in love with Southampton and still feel that same love and passion for this community.”
She said that she has been a community activist and volunteer. McIntosh said that she has managed multi-million-dollar budgets, teams of people and was a former social housing manager. “I get affordable housing and I understand what is coming our way. I understand that field.”
McIntosh has sat on a previous municipal council. “I have that experience and will hit the ground running. Why now? Because I will bring commitment, am a very hard worker, am a great researcher of data and facts before making decisions. I have a strong work ethic, experience as a past municipal councillor and, above all, a love for Southampton.”
She went on to point out that her name Cathe stands for excellence, energy, enthusiasm experience and excitement.
