Christmas and the holiday season is all about music that is only heard once a year and the audience at the recent A Cappella Chamber Choir performance, ‘Love Came Down at Christmas’, heard a wide variety of musical selections under the direction of Meghan De Jager with guest organist David Hamilton.
Ranging from Bach to Berlioz, Mozart to contemporary John Rutter, there were pieces not often heard to the more familiar carols in which the audience participated. There were also Solo performances by Linda Street, Gracienne Swarbrick, Bill Rayner, and Adrian Little who performed a piano solo of We Three Kings.
It was an afternoon of music that only comes once a year … when ‘Love Comes Down at Christmas’.
