Gran Fondo is over for another year however, the funds raised will go on helping that quality health care remains close to home.
On Wednesday, September 17th (2025), the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation presented the Gran Fondo proceeds of $470,000 to Brightshores Health system.
The funds will be used to pay the outstanding balance on the Automated Dispensing Units (ADU). These advanced medication systems enhance patient safety and streamline care by enabling nurses to access medications quickly and accurately, especially in emergencies. The result is faster, safer care for patients.
Other funds will go toward a piece of lab equipment and, in addition, to a negative pressure/isolation room project.
