As the month of July comes to a close, August begins this weekend and it is going to be an exciting one when it comes to the ‘Arts’ in Southampton.
The first annual Southampton Arts Festival is about to start and, as part of the Festival, the Southampton Arts Centre is pleased to announce the return of the ’50 Little Masterpieces’ FUNdraiser to be held at the Centre’s Gallery with a gala on Saturday, August 2nd.
50 Little MasterpiecesCanvases were given to talented local artists across Bruce and Grey counties to create ‘little masterpieces’, with 50 selected for the show.
Every artist is unique in style and medium used and each Little Masterpiece reflects the artistry found throughout the two counties.
The Arts Centre ‘Little Masterpiece’ gala will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Gallery on August 2nd and is a two-tiered ticketed event.
Each purchaser of a $100 Masterpiece ticket is guaranteed to go home with one of the original ’50 little masterpieces’.
A $50 Attendee ticket holder will have his/her ticket entered into a draw for a free painting.
Every ticket however, also includes a complementary drink accompanied by a selection of delicious appetizers and canapés served throughout the evening … and the opportunity to bid in the Gallery’s Silent Auction.

The gallery also welcomes visitors to have a photo with the newly created mural at the entrance.
Southampton Arts Centre has a long history that dates back to the famous Group of Seven and is a centre that is continually evolving with events, exhibits and community outreach.
