Each year, the Chantry Singers present the Service of Lessons and Carols jointly with Saugeen Shores Ministerial at the Southampton United Church which fills to capacity and is a fundraiser for the Women’s House Serving Bruce and Grey.
Rev. Heather Davies of Southampton United Church welcomed everyone on Sunday (Dec. 15th), with clergy from the various churches taking turns at presenting biblical Christmas readings. The evening featured a wide variety of music by the Chantry Singers and several guests, under the direction of Anne Little with accompanist Christina Edwards. It was also an opportunity for the multi-congregation members to take part in singing the many traditional carols played by Organist Doug Squire on the unique pipe organ.

Reverend (ret’d) Chuck Beaton said, “This is what community should be about …people coming together regardless of what church they attend, if any. It seems that this time of year brings out the best in everybody. This is a wonderful thing.”
