Beer tastings part of Bruce County Museum’s community outreach activities

Despite a cool windy evening, those who attended the beer tasting event held outside on the patio at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre on Friday (June 17th), didn’t seem to mind the weather.

The beer tasting was held just in time for Father’s Day and was an evening out for dads.

With a selection of craft beers from the Grey Matter Beer Company of Kincardine and cheeses and other delightful culinary creations from The Cheese Haus of Port Elgin and Mildmay, they were guided through the wide variety of beer samplings by the Museum’s own Evan Vatri and Meag Durkin of the Grey Matter Beer Company of Kincardine.

Throughout the evening, entertainment was provided by members of Scatter the Cats featuring Will Henry on violin and his wife on the concertina, with flautist Dan McGee.

The beer tasting was part of the Museum’s annual tasting series that, in the past, has also included wines from area wineries and scotch tastings for discerning palates.
