There truly are Angels among us….people who do not call attention to themselves and who live their life grounded by deep Faith and unwavering principles. They face adversity with quiet courage, possess great integrity and decency, and never fail to show kindness to everyone along the way. Bill was both a Gentleman and a Gentle Man and on February 19, 2022, Heaven decided it was time to call him home after a lifetime of demonstrating how it’s done.
Bill was loving, devoted and caring … Father to Kate, Liz, Kevin and Ian, Big Brother to Joanne, Marilyn (Jack), Alan, John (late Stephanie) and Tom (Ruth), Uncle to Laura, Chris, Rachael, Sean, Matt and Tara, Great-Uncle to Noah, Maya, Kaiden and Owen.
A lifelong member (4th degree) of the Knights of Columbus, and long-time resident of Port Elgin, Bill had a razor sharp wit and sense of humour, was a voracious reader with a limitless curiosity about everything and would always win at Trivial Pursuit. He loved classical Music and was an unabashed, complete Sports nut. In his youth, he was a member of the Church of Our Lady Tennis Club’s InterUrban team based in Guelph.
