Bruce County Museum continues to celebrate Black History Month

In recognition of Black History Month and the International Decade for People of African Descent, Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre (BCM&CC) is excited to welcome Nadine Williams—renowned artist, author, and President’s Poet—to lead a special community quilting project.

Visitors are invited to create an 8.5” x 11” tile (materials provided) or contribute ideas for one that reflects “the fabric of your being”— your experiences, values, culture, or anything that represents who you are.

Each tile will be beautifully assembled by The Nadine Williams Collective into a collaborative quilt that will be publicly unveiled and permanently displayed at the BCM&CC as a symbol of diversity, inclusion, and shared community pride.

Everyone is welcome, and no art experience is needed!

Saturday, February 28th – 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Ages 8+, children must be accompanied by an adult
FREE; Space is limited, pre-registration required.

Funding for this project is provided by Community Foundation Grey Bruce.
