Bruce County named a Southwestern Ontario Top 100 Employer for second year

Bruce County is receiving recognition for the second year in a row as a Top 100 Employer in Southwestern Ontario. This competition recognizes employers that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work.

“It is an honour to receive this recognition as one of Southwestern Ontario’s Top Employers,” commented Jenn Robinson, director of human resources for Bruce County. “We’re proud of the positive work culture we’re cultivating here, and we’ll continue to keep building on this momentum to create a welcoming, innovative and thriving workplace together.”

The annual Canada’s Top 100 Employers competition assesses organizations on key criteria including workplace environment, work atmosphere, employee benefits, vacation policies, professional development, and community involvement. The highlights of Bruce County’s 2026 reasons for selection include:

  • Pregnancy, parental, and/or adoption leave top‑up and wellness benefits.
  • Defined benefit pension plan and retirement planning support.
  • Workplace mental health program and employee assistance resources.

One of the four pillars of the Bruce County Strategic Plan 2023-2026 includes actions to strengthen the culture and capacity of the organization.

Robinson notes that, “being an employer of choice is a commitment to creating a supportive, dynamic workplace. There are limitless opportunities in our region, and a career with Bruce County makes exploring them possible.”
