The annual Bruce Power community appreciation ‘funfest’ was a day of free fun for the whole family on Saturday, July 20th in Kincardine.
Outside at the Davidson Centre there was the Reptilia house that drew long line-ups to get a look at reptiles of all kinds. There were ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’ as all ages saw the world of reptiles up-close.
Then, there were the heavy-duty vehicles that attracted kids of all ages, big and small, who had the chance to sit in the drivers’ seats.
No funfest is complete without fun food and Burke’s Catering was on hand with mouthwatering ‘pogodogs’ on a stick, perfect eating while wandering the site.
Inside the Davidson Centre, visitors could take in the Canine Circus, with dogs trained to be the best when it comes to ‘dog tricks’ of leaping, turning and hurdles.
No matter where there’s a summer event, face-painting is always popular and the Bruce Power funfest was no exception.
A long line-up of patient parents and kids waited their turn to become a mystical creature or a favourite superhero.
The ever-popular *Dan the Music Man* was also on hand with his high-energy entertainment that not only keeps the kids happy and busy but also entertains the older kids (a.k.a. parents) with his non-stop humour.
At dusk, it was time for the epic fireworks display at Station Beach as only Bruce Power can do!
