Bruce Shrine Club receives a helping hand

The Bruce Shrine Club received a helping hand from the Society of Professional Engineers when they received a $10,000 donation on Wednesday, August 29th.

Mike Gade of the Society of Professional Engineers presented the donation to Shriner President Doug Gould in Kincardine.

‘Shriners International own and support 22 Shriners’ Hospitals for Children© in North America that focus on children and their special needs.’  In addition, Shriners transport children, who are in the care system, from the area to Montreal for treatment and recently to the Shriners’ Hospital for Children© in Chicago. All of this is done free of charge to the patients and their families.

Shriners also attend many parades, both summer and winter, with the hopes of receiving donations toward their philanthropic efforts.
