This coastal-beach themed home was constructed in 2022 on an established street in Southampton, 108 Grenville Street North allowing for a short walk to Fairy Lake and the local shops and restaurants. The homeowner, Monica, collaborated with BLR Drafting in Fergus to create a custom design that was brought to life by Kevin Meng, Project Manager of Southampton, and a team of skilled local tradespeople.
One of Monica’s visions for the home was a stone gas fireplace on the front porch inspired by her love of front porch living in Southampton. Upon entering the home, is a beautiful antique dining table and chairs, along with a side dry sink that has been passed down to Monica from her mother.
The home features oversized windows, allowing for plenty of natural light, showcasing the beautiful cedar tree-lined lot which draws your eye to the rear patio. Outdoor Concepts completed the patio and walkways. This 1900 sq. ft. ‘bungaloft’ boasts a unique open concept design with a 19ft ceiling in the great room, while the upper loft overlooks the great room below and includes two additional bedrooms and three-piece washroom. The upper loft area is ideal for guests and family, allowing privacy to the primary bedroom on the main floor. The 8ft doors on the main floor add a dramatic look to the home. The primary bedroom on the main floor features a 10ft tray ceiling with a coastal-style ensuite and large custom walk-in closet.
Throughout the home, you will notice a cohesive coastal feel, with blue accents in the kitchen, the interior doors and tray ceiling in the primary bedroom.
