The Gift Cards and financial donations were collected by the Saugeen Shores Police Service (SSPS) to be distributed to the Salvation Army and Saugeen First Nation food banks.  In addition, the SSPS Contingency Fund retained some of the gift cards to help provide immediate support to those in need of a warm meal or clothing.  The Fund helps to bridge the gap until Social Services can be activated with on-going support.

The fundraiser brought in a total of 77 gift cards valued at $2,030 and a surprise cash donation of $5,000 from the Roote family of Roote’s Gas Bar.
