In spite of another cold weather May 24th (2025), Saugeen Shores Fire Department volunteers were cooking up a storm on Saturday at the Port Elgin Fire Station.

It was the annual Community Breakfast FUNdraiser where delicious pancakes, bacon, sausage and hashbrowns were served with toast and hot coffee and juice. It was not only a great start to the weekend with a hot breakfast, there was also the chance to explore the
Port Elgin Fire Station and climb aboard the trucks.

There was a hot time at the grills as volunteer firefighters flipped pancakes and cooked bacon and sausage trying to keep up with the numbers of people rolling in through the doors.
This year’s community Fire FUNdraising breakfast was in support of the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation Mammography Suite.
