While on patrol on July 19th, police observed a dirt bike being driven on a highway in Southampton with no licence plate.
A traffic stop was attempted and the dirt bike accelerated towards police then took off at a high rate of speed. Soon after the dirt bike and driver were located on 2nd Street.
As a result of this investigation a 28-year-old of Bruce County has been charged with:
- Dangerous operation of a Motor Vehicle
- Driving while under suspension
- Fail to Stop for Police
- Drive motor Vehicle – Improper licence
- Drive Motor vehicle, no plates.
The dirt bike was towed.
He was released with a future court date.
