It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Douglas Edward Wolfe on April 1st, 2020 at home on the farm surrounded by his family in his 72nd year.

Best friend and husband of 49 years to Linda (Hammell). Father of Alison, Ryan, Charlene (Mike) and Curtis (André).  Papa to Connor, Lilah, Nikolas, Hailey and Matthew.  Brother of Marilyn (Bob) Perkins and Loreen (Doug) Cumming.  Brother-in-law of Carolyn (Gerald) Huehn, Ron (Janice) Hammell, Jim (Marie) Hammell, Bernice (Ted) Potter, Dianne (Barry) Ribey and Lorie (Dennis) Alpaugh. Uncle to several nieces and nephews as well as a cousin and a friend to many. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Eleanor (Sinclair) Wolfe.

Doug will be remembered for his passion of cattle farming, devotion to family and kind spirit.  His warm smile and sense of humour brought joy to many who knew him.

Doug fought valiantly and had a long, courageous struggle with leukemia. He remained positive and relentless throughout and always greeted others with his trademark smile, genuine consideration and interest in their well being.

The family would like to thank all the healthcare practitioners involved throughout his life journey, especially the oncology and palliative teams. A private service will take place at T.A. Brown Funeral Home (510 Mill St. Port Elgin, Ont.  N0H 2C0).  A celebration of life will occur at a later date with community safety in mind.  Donations are gratefully accepted to The Owen Sound Regional Hospital Foundation, the Oncology Department, or a charity of your choice.

The family would like to thank all family and friends for their thoughts, prayers and support during this difficult time.
