The Easter Bunny enlisted the help of Southampton Rotarians Jenny Amy, Peter Day and Bob Speight on Wednesday to celebrate the wonderful staff at G C Huston School in Southampton.
The G.C. Huston team has been notable for their patience, caring concern and endurance over the past year. Keeping our children safe, helping them to learn far more than just curriculum over the pandemic period has been a huge responsibility.
Southampton Rotary Club members recognize them and appreciate their dedication to the Rotary Motto, “Service Above Self”.
Our Club prepared a token of our recognition with chocolate bunnies and wee Easter eggs, individually wrapped with the names of the school team members attached. “It is a small thing,” said President Jenny Amy, “but, we want them to know how much their quiet perseverance means to the community.”
The presentation was made at the front door of the school on Wednesday to Principal Hugh Morrison during the noon hour.
