It appears that there has been some confusion when it comes to the upcoming Municipal Election (2026).
Saugeen Times has been reporting on the first all-candidates meeting held on August 31st in Southampton and presented by the Southampton Residents Association (SRA).
We have begun with the incumbents but are reporting each candidate’s introduction and semi-platform. In no way, are we endorsing any candidate, but are simply providing information that each candidate has publicly stated.
There will be two more all-candidate meetings (Oct. 5th and 7th) and the same format of reporting will be published.
All reporting is also on the dedicated banner category, Election 2026, for ease of accessing information.
We hope that this election will be carried out in a civil manner and not resort to the ‘mud-slinging’ tactics that occur elsewhere.
