Weather wasn’t an issue for residents or visitors at Elgin Lodge Retirement Home’s 3rd annual summer Fun Fair and Open House held on August 22nd in Port Elgin.
As rain clouds began to gather in the afternoon, the classic car show came to a halt but the fun activities simply moved indoor to the spacious activity rooms.
The fun corn-hole toss moved into the general meeting room/theatre and burgers and hotdogs came hot off the grill into the main activity room.
Down the hallway, the craft show continued with several local vendors selling their hand-made items.

Executive Director, Andrea Prentice, laughed saying that “You can’t fight Mother Nature, so we just moved inside and continued with the fun and food.”
