Through diligent investigation, we have pinpointed the source of the water issue, and Ackert Construction has resolved the problem. Additionally, Belfor Restoration is onsite, removing items affected by the flood and drying the basement. Air quality tests were completed last week and will occur again before residents return to the Lodge. Water tests have occurred and are free of contaminants. The various mechanical systems have their specific professional contractors working on each of them (Heat/Hydro/Hot Water/Phones/Internet/Fire Suppression/Call Bells). We are committed to restoring Elgin Lodge as quickly and safely as possible so that our residents can return home with confidence.
Christine Welden, Executive director shares her appreciation of the community saying, “I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has come together to support us during this challenging time. This includes the families of our residents, our dedicated staff, local organizations, individuals and businesses that have stepped in to help in countless ways. Your kindness and generosity have been invaluable, and we truly appreciate your efforts.”
