In a release issued today, October 25th, the Municipality of Kincardine announced that it has hired Jayne Jagelewski as the Director of Community Services. The by-law for the appointment was passed at the October 4, 2021, Council Meeting.
“Jayne Jagelewski comes to the Municipality of Kincardine as a respected leader in the municipal parks and recreation industry and has 10 years of experience as a Director of Community Services, most recently with the Town of Saugeen Shores. With extensive municipal experience and strong leadership and communication skills, she will contribute to the achievement of strategic goals of the department, “said acting CAO Roxana Baumann.
Jagelewski worked with the Town of Saugeen Shores for 27 years, with the last 10 as Director of Community Services, when she assumed the role following the retirement of Director Mike Myatt.
In her role as Director of Community Services with Kincardine, she will be responsible for the planning, management, and leadership of the department which will consist of parks, recreation facilities and programming, municipal facility maintenance and operations, beaches and waterfront programs, and fire and emergency management.
“It is my absolute pleasure to welcome Jayne to the Municipality of Kincardine,” said acting CAO Baumann. “With her breadth of experience, I know Jayne will be a strong asset to the management team and advance how we deliver community services.”
Jagelewski’s move leaves vacant the position of Director of Community Services in Saugeen Shores, along with the positions of Manager of Strategic Initiatives and Director of Corporate Services.
