Four people face multiple charges in Saugeen Shores

Earlier in the afternoon of March 13th, Saugeen Shores Police (SSPS) were requested to assist a member of the OPP during a traffic stop on Highway 21 north of Southampton. SSPS officers attended and assisted in the arrests of two parties who were on conditions not to be with one another.

Later that same afternoon Saugeen Shores Police (SSPS) were requested to assist the OPP with an impaired driving investigation. An adult male was brought to SSPS detachment where he provided breath samples to a qualified technician. The male provided samples that registered 2.75 x the legal limit.

At approximately 6:00 p.m. on March 13th, Saugeen Shores Police were alerted to what appeared to be two youths breaking into a Town outbuilding located in a Port Elgin Park.
Officers arrived and located a damaged door. Four people who were not youth were located inside and arrested.
As a result of this investigation the following people were charged:
A 42-year-old male of Port Elgin was charged with:
– Break and Enter
– Mischief
– Possession of Break in Instruments
– Fail to comply with release order
He was held in custody pending a Bail Hearing
A 36-year-old female of Port Elgin was charged with:
– Break and Enter
– Mischief
– Possession of Break in Instruments
She was also arrested in an outstanding warrant. She was held in custody pending a Bail Hearing.
A 33-year-old male of Port Elgin was charged with:
– Break and Enter
– Mischief
– Possession of Break in Instruments
He was released on an Undertaking with a future court date.
A 53-year-old male of Port Elgin was charged with:
– Break and Enter
– Mischief
– Possession of Break in Instruments
– Failure to comply with Probation
He was released on an Undertaking with a future court date.
