It was a Fun Fair for all on Saturday, August 23rd at Elgin Lodge Retirement Home in Port Elgin.
The Fair featured all the fun of a traditional fair – outdoor games, a bake sale, raffle prizes, ice-cream, a car show and, of course, a BBQ.
In addition, the ‘bunny house’ from Rabbit House Rescue brought a lot of joy to both residents and visitors who had the chance to cuddle a soft furry one like Rudy.

“We were fortunate that the weather held off so that we could have outdoor activities,” said Marketing and Sales Director, Ann-Marie Collins. “Our residents seemed to really enjoy the event and many had their family members attend as well.”
Proceeds from the FUNdraiser raffle and BBQ will be divided between local food banks and the Resident Wish List, while the lemonade stand proceeds will go to the rescue for rabbits.
“We also thank our many sponsors who came forward to help our community,” added Collins. “Together, we raised $960.”
