Sarah Matheson’s Jr. Kindergarten class and all the grade 1 students of G. C. Huston Public school took time over the lunch-hour on November 21st to decorate the Southampton Town Hall Christmas tree again this year with their hand-crafted ornaments in time for the annual tree lighting and the Southampton Sparkles evening.

Rain throughout the day threatened the festivity but stopped in time for people to gather and enjoy the Celtic dancing by performers from the Canada Celtic Dance Academy and sing-along of Christmas music led by members of the Chantry Singers.
Mayor Luke Charbonneau with the help of some ‘little’ friends pulled the switch that lit the tree.
