A fan-favourite among residents and visitors alike, this year’s Gathering of the Bands event is ready to entertain this Saturday, August 24th, 2024.
Live music begins at noon and runs throughout the day in Victoria Park in Kincardine. Celebrating its 33rd anniversary, the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band is sticking to tradition of thanking the community for many years of ongoing support. Admission is free and, in addition to the live music from 12 to 6 p.m., there will be a beer garden on site.
The highlight of every Gathering of the Bands is the massed band parade at 8 p.m. which sees the host band joined by other visiting pipers and drummers to march down Queen Street.
There is also an all-day, all-you-can-eat hot dog barbecue and corn roast for $15 per person and children ages eight and under eating free of charge.
A reminder to those attending to bring their lawn chairs so they can comfortably settle in to enjoy the full experience.
