The Goderich Lions Club’s support for local initiatives highlights their dedication to environmental stewardship and youth development. This latest donation to CCYC underscores their ongoing commitment to fostering a sustainable and vibrant community of young environmentalists. Their donation enables us to expand our program activities by bringing participants to Goderich for immersive learning experiences that directly contribute to the preservation and restoration of the Lake Huron shoreline.

The Coastal Conservation Youth Corps is an immersive program designed to engage youth in hands-on conservation efforts along Lake Huron. Participants gain a deep understanding of the importance of environmental conservation through activities such as dune restoration, shoreline clean-ups, and educational workshops. CCYC not only fosters environmental awareness but also empowers young participants to become future leaders in conservation.

The Lake Huron Coastal Centre is a non-government charity dedicated to supporting a healthy ecosystem through education, restoration, and research. To learn more visit www.lakehuron.ca, or follow @coastal centre on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
