Community Foundation Grey Bruce provides leadership to charities and nonprofits in Grey and Bruce Counties by holding an annual Granting Fair and Nonprofit Workshop where attendees can gain information and ideas to take back to their respective organizations. This year the Workshop is being held from 9:00 am until 3:30 pm on March 7th at the Royal Canadian Legion in Owen Sound.
The morning consists of a Granting Fair, which follows a format similar to “speed dating”, with workshop participants rotating to funder’s table to learn about available funding. Funders include Community Foundation Grey Bruce, Bruce Power, Meridian Credit Union, Leflar Foundation, RBC Future Launch and United Way Bruce Grey.
In the afternoon, a variety of presenters will touch on subjects of importance to the nonprofit sector such as Networking among Local Nonprofits, “Leadership Reimagined: A New Approach to Building Leadership Resilience” presented by Mike Wright & Melri Wright of Ledge Leadership and “Maximizing your Digital Presence: learn strategy to make your organization stand out” by local marketing consultant Kirsty Stevenson.
