Adrian Little and Christina Edwards returned for a hybrid, virtual and in-person fundraising concert on Sunday afternoon (May 8th) at Southampton United Church.
A fundraiser for the Ukraine and Safe & Sound in Owen Sound, the duo began the concert with the Ukraine national anthem and went on to play selections from Beethoven to Mozart, an Argentino tango ‘Libertango Astor Piazzolla’ to Shostakovich, Brahms’ Hungarian Dance and Liebestraum by Liszt to Irving Berlin and Nimrod’s Enigma, all interspersed with humour.
It is obvious that these are two very accomplished musicians, each in his and her own right. For anyone who missed the concert, this is an opportunity to listen to two of the area’s finest pianists.
