Inger Gottscheu of Port Elgin will be celebrating her 100th birthday on January 1, 2025.
Inger was born in Bergen, Norway. She made her way to Canada with her husband, Gerhard Gottscheu, and two children in 1954.They settled in Walkerton but eventually found that they preferred the shores of Lake Huron. Inger and her husband bought Sunnyside Cottages in 1967 and it is still family run today. She has three children – Hans of Guelph and Solveig Ribey and Gordon of Port Elgin. She also has six grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.She is still very active and has always loved to play Bridge and Euchre which she plays three times a week
