It was a great start to the New Year for the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation as Shoreline Power Group donated $2,000 toward the Foundation’s X-ray fundraising campaign.
In December, the community rallied behind the $510,000 x-ray campaign through the Foundation’s annual Light the Way Radiothon and Holiday campaign, raising over $482,000.
Sam Bambino, Project Director said that, “Shoreline Power Group is proud to support community fundraising projects, especially those related to community health. I think a lot of people and businesses have realized over this past year during the pandemic just how important our local hospitals are to our communities. We saw an opportunity to help support the hospital foundation and were more than happy to donate toward the new x-ray machine fundraising campaign”
“Community support for the new x-ray machine has just been phenomenal,” adds Tracy Murray, Executive Director of the hospital Foundation. “With fundraising being so unpredictable this past year, we never expected to have raised almost the entire funds needed this quickly. The residents and businesses in our community have demonstrated once again how important local healthcare is to them.”
