Saugeen Shores Incumbent Mayor seeking third term

Luke Charbonneau has declared his intention to seek another term as Mayor of the Town of Saugeen Shores.

Mayor since 2018, Charbonneau has served on Saugeen Shores Council since 2006. He is currently Warden of Bruce County and Chair of Westario Power Inc.

Luke and his wife Alison were raised in Saugeen Shores. They have three sons and are the owners of Hi-Berry Farm, a local fruit and vegetable farm market.

“Saugeen Shores is the best place to live, work and raise a family,” says Charbonneau “We have a plan to meet the needs of our growing community and make life here even better. I have the experience to deliver on that plan and seize the opportunities before us.”

The plan includes major investments in housing, water distribution, landfill expansion, fire services and recreation over the next four years.

“With major developments happening at Bruce Power, our investments will ensure that the community is ready,” Charbonneau added. “We will build services and infrastructure for the future while carefully managing taxpayer dollars.”

Voting in the 2026 municipal election will take place, via internet and telephone, between 10:00am on October 19th and 8:00pm on October 26th. Details about the municipal election can be found at www.saugeenshores.ca/elections
