On June 5, 2023, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an address in Arran Township and initiated an intimate partner violence investigation.
Members of Grey-Bruce OPP, Huron County OPP and OPP Aviation Services provided assistance with the initial investigation.
As a result of the police investigation, a 48-year-old resident of Bruce County has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Utter Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm – two counts
- Spousal Assault – two counts
- Assault
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton at a later date.
The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victims.
