Tomorrow, Saturday June 24th, is the big day that everyone in Port Elgin (Saugeen Shores) has been waiting for – the Lamont Sports Park in Port Elgin (Saugeen Shores) official opening.
It will be a full day of celebration that begins at 8:00 a.m. with a Rotary Club of Saugeen Shores pancake breakfast.
Following breakfast, the Official Opening will include dignitaries, recognition of sponsors and then the exciting ‘first pitches’.
A full itinerary continues with the Rotary BBQ lunch and ball games into the afternoon.
**Please note that access to the park has changed. Access is Concession 6 from the west, off Highway 21. The eastern access from Sideroad 18 is now closed.
