First Nations’ men played an integral role in Canada’s war efforts both in WWI and WWII.

In WWI, three young brothers, Arthur, Ernest and Maurice John of Saugeen First Nation joined the army in Owen Sound with the Grey and Simcoe Foresters Regiment.

Arthur was the only brother to survive.
