
Terry Fox Marathon of Hope continues on Thursday, September 20th, at some local schools.
G. C. Huston Public School in Southampton will be holding its annual Run from 2:25-2:55. K-Gr. 3 will be running/walking a loop in the school yard while Grades 4-8 will be running/walking around Fairy Lake. School donations can also be made online at https://schools.terryfox.ca/36242

Also, on Thursday, Saugeen District Senior School (SDSS) has an ambitious program scheduled.
The traditional run/walk around the school by the entire school will take place between 12:45 p.m. and 1:50 p.m.
Then, it will be time for a new endeavour. Teams of six students each will participate in sports tournaments featuring a variety of activities. Each participant donated $5 in order to participate for a team total of $30 that will go to the Terry Fox Foundation.

St. Joseph’s Catholic School will also be holding its annual Terry Fox run at 12:30 p.m. when students will be running around the block. The school’s goal this year is $1,500.The Terry Fox Foundation has created an online fundraising page customized for St. Joseph’s school. Donations can be made online at https://schools.terryfox.ca/StJosephsCSPortElgin or search for the school’s name at www.terryfox.org. Tax receipts will be issued immediately to donors by email from the Terry Fox Foundation. Donations can be made until September 22, 2023.
