It’s Fall and time for the annual Terry Fox Run and, once again, this year it will be virtual but that doesn’t stop 86-year-old Delores Spielmacher.
This will be her 36th run in memory of her daughter Cheryl, and she has already collected approximately $2,000.
Along with her neighbour Allan Murray, they visited with Holly Vanderzwet at Fitness Corner in Southampton, tee’d off at Saugeen Golf Club and tried out Pickle Ball with Saugeen Shores Police Constable Angela Hupalo at Lakeshore Recreation in Port Elgin.

Delores and Allan Murray tried their hand at casting for some salmon at the Southampton Harbour on the Saugeen River, with gear provided by Bruce County Library, and then, at their last stop, got some cycling tips and a donation from Brett Martin at Martin’s Bicycle Shop in Southampton.
On Sunday, September 19th, they will be making their token walk around nearby Fairy Lake in Southampton.
